YayOrNay - Child Safety Standards

YayOrNay has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and for any child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out the standards we maintain to keep children safe on our service, in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and applicable law.

Our commitment

We prohibit any content, conduct, or use of YayOrNay that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or abuses children. This includes CSAM, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any other form of child sexual abuse or exploitation. Violations result in immediate content removal, account termination, and reporting to the relevant authorities.

Age requirement

YayOrNay is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the app, as stated in our Terms of Use. Accounts we identify as belonging to anyone under this age are removed.

Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on YayOrNay:

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, real or computer-generated
Sexually explicit, suggestive, or exploitative content involving minors
Grooming, solicitation, or any attempt to sexually exploit a child
Sextortion or threats to share intimate imagery of a minor
Trafficking, endangerment, or facilitation of harm to a child
Any other content or behavior that abuses, exploits, or endangers a child

How we prevent abuse

Pre-publication image scanning. Every uploaded photo is automatically scanned for adult, violent, and racy content before it can be seen by others. Flagged images are removed and the associated post is hidden.
Pre-publication text scanning. Every question and comment is automatically scanned for sexual content, harassment, and other policy violations. Flagged content is hidden.
In-app reporting. Any user can report a question, comment, or user from inside the app. Reports on public content trigger immediate auto-hide pending human review.
Blocking. Any user can block any other user from any surface where that user appears. Blocking is one-sided, persistent, and removes the connection immediately.

How to report child safety concerns

If you encounter content or behavior that exploits or endangers a child:

In the app: use the Report action on any question, comment, or profile. Reports are reviewed promptly.
By email: contact our child safety point of contact at cmkarabulut@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge and act on reports of CSAE within 24 hours.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local law enforcement right away.

How we respond

Confirmed CSAE results in immediate removal of the content, permanent termination of the responsible account, and preservation and reporting of the material to the appropriate authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or local law enforcement, as required by law. We cooperate fully with lawful requests from child safety authorities.

Legal compliance

We comply with all applicable child safety laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where YayOrNay is available, and with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy. We review these standards regularly and update them as our service and the law evolve.
