YayOrNay - Terms of Use

Acceptance

By creating an account or using YayOrNay, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the app. These Terms supplement Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"), available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA controls.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use YayOrNay. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you are legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at cmkarabulut@gmail.com immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

User-generated content

YayOrNay lets you post questions, photos, comments, votes, and other content ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content. By posting it you grant YayOrNay a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and transmit that content for the purpose of operating the service.

Prohibited content and conduct

You agree not to post, share, or transmit content that is:

• Sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content involving minors in any form
• Nude or sexually explicit imagery of any person
• Violent, graphic, or gratuitously disturbing
• Hateful, harassing, threatening, or that promotes discrimination based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected status
• Defamatory, libelous, or invasive of another person's privacy
• Used to bully, intimidate, dox, or impersonate another person
• Illegal, or that promotes or facilitates illegal activity
• Spam, scam, phishing, or otherwise deceptive
• Infringing on intellectual property, trademark, or other rights
• Containing malware, exploits, or other harmful code

You also agree not to use YayOrNay to harvest other users' information, to circumvent moderation, to evade blocks, to operate multiple accounts to harass, or to interfere with the service's normal operation.

Content moderation

YayOrNay applies multiple layers of moderation to user content:

• Pre-publication image scanning. Every uploaded photo is automatically scanned for adult, violent, and racy content. Flagged images are removed and the associated post is hidden.
• Pre-publication text scanning. Every question and comment is automatically scanned for hate speech, harassment, sexual content, violence, and self-harm. Flagged content is hidden.
• In-app reporting. Any user can report a question or comment from inside the app. Reports on public content trigger immediate auto-hide pending human review; reports on private content auto-hide after a small number of independent reports.
• Blocking. Any user can block any other user from any surface where that user appears (profile, comment, mention, voter list). Blocking is one-sided, persistent, and triggers automatic unfriending.

Reporting response time. We aim to review every report within 24 hours of submission. Confirmed violations result in content removal and, for repeated or severe violations, account suspension or permanent ban.

Enforcement

If your content or conduct violates these Terms, we may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

• Remove or hide the offending content
• Issue a warning
• Suspend your account temporarily
• Terminate your account permanently
• Refer the matter to law enforcement where required by law

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion removes all your User Content within seven days.

DMCA / copyright complaints

If you believe content on YayOrNay infringes your copyright, send a written notice to cmkarabulut@gmail.com including: a description of the copyrighted work, the location (link or screenshot) of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized, and a statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder.

Disclaimer

YayOrNay is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for User Content posted by other users.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YayOrNay and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via the email address associated with your account. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
